Generations of Senegalese Craftsmanship

Nestled in the outskirts of Dakar, the Rabalma artisan cooperative has preserved the art of traditional hand-weaving for generations. Working directly with organic cotton farmers and hand-spinners from Tambacounda in central Senegal, this GOTS-certified workshop transforms locally-grown rain-fed cotton into exceptional textiles entirely by hand. From fiber to finished fabric, every step honors ancestral techniques and environmental stewardship—no irrigation, no chemicals, only permaculture practices and the skilled hands of Senegalese artisans.
